Stanley en noir et blanc

Il y a 5 ans disparaissait l’un des plus grands maîtres du 7e Art. Entre 1955 et 1999, Stanley Kubrick n’a pourtant tourné que 12 longs métrages. Mais son génie a imprégné chacun d’eux et ce, quelque soit le genre abordé : la science-fiction avec 2001 et Orange Mécanique, l’aventure romantique avec Barry Lyndon ou encore l’horreur avec The Shining. Jusqu’au 27 février, Flagey consacre au maître américain une rétrospective de ses films en noir et blanc :
Les Sentiers de la Gloire (1957), Lolita (1962), Docteur Folamour (1964), et enfin Killer’s Kiss (1955) et The Killing (1956)

Stanley Kubrick died almost five years ago but he left behind 12 masterpieces, some of which can be rediscovered at “Flagey” : the harsh antiwar Paths of Glory (1957) , the Nabokov cinema version of Lolita (1962), the cutting satire Dr. Strangelove (1964), and earlier artworks such as Killer’s Kiss (1955) and The Killing (1956) will be shown between Jan. 27 and Feb. 27
