Ghent Floralies 2005

This is the most important horticultural exhibition in the world. It all started 200 years ago, when noblemen and their gardeners decided they should get together to discuss the grounds around their castles, and ended up founding the Royal Society for Agriculture and Botany.

The event takes place every five years only and attracts both casual visitors and the best ornamental plant growers in the world. For this new edition, which starts on April 15, over 300 exhibitors from 19 countries (including the USA, China, Australia, South Africa, and delegations from South America & Eastern Europe) will turn the Flanders Expo into a 40,000 sqm garden showcasing the most perfect floral and plant specimens.

Visitors can also enjoy all kind of demonstrations, from cut flower arrangements to tree trimming and landscape architecture.

Spring has come...and gone...and will be back soon. So if you are already thinking about decorating your garden, terraces or balconies, and if you need some inspiration, this is an opportunity you can't miss.
